Terms of use
Bellcow is a fantasy football tool made and run by Adorea (“we”). Using it means you agree to what is on this page. It is short on purpose: it says what the app is, what you can expect from it, and what is expected of you.
What Bellcow is
Bellcow is a decision-support app for fantasy football: weekly rankings, start-or-sit comparisons, and reads on your lineups. Its own rankings come from Ranch Hand, a model built on a small set of measured numbers over public data. The app also reads the fantasy leagues you connect — Sleeper, MyFantasyLeague, ESPN — and any team you enter by hand.
Your account
- You sign in with a name and a password. One person per account.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done while signed in as you is treated as yours.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Accounts. We can remove an account too.
Your league connections
The app reads leagues you connect with your own credentials (a Sleeper username, an MFL key, an ESPN session) or with a public league's address. It only reads. It never posts to, sets a lineup on, or changes anything on those platforms. A swap it suggests is a suggestion until you make it yourself, there.
You are responsible for having the right to connect a league — it should be yours, or one you are a member of — and for keeping to the platform's own terms when you hand its credentials to Bellcow. You can disconnect any of them at any time from Settings → Accounts, and disconnecting deletes what was stored for it.
No guarantee of accuracy
Every number in the app is either a model's reading or another source's published figure, and each is labelled which. A model can be wrong. A feed can be late, missing, or disagree with the platform your league actually scores on. When the app does not know a number it says so rather than guessing, but it can still be wrong, and it can still be late.
Bellcow is not betting advice and not financial advice. Nothing in it is a promise that a player will score, that a lineup will win, or that a season will end a certain way. Every decision is yours, made with your own judgement.
Third-party data
The statistics, projections, schedules, injury reports and rankings the app shows belong to the people who publish them: ESPN, Sleeper, MyFantasyLeague, nflverse, FantasyCalc, and the publishers whose weekly rankings are transcribed into the consensus boards. Their terms apply to their data. Bellcow is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of them, or to the NFL. Team names belong to their owners; the app draws its own crests.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, crawl or copy the app or its data by script.
- Do not share an account or sign in as someone else.
- Do not try to reach another person's account, leagues or data, or probe the server.
- Do not use the app to break anyone else's terms, including those of the platforms it reads.
- Do not resell it or pass it off as your own.
Availability
The app is deployed often, and every deploy has a short window where it is down. It can also go down for an outage at the host or at a data source. There is no uptime promise. Features can change, move or be removed, and the data behind them can lapse when a source stops publishing.
Ending an account
We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and can end the service. What is deleted when an account goes is set out on the privacy page.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, Bellcow is provided as it is, with no warranty, and is not responsible for a loss that follows from a number it showed, a feature that was down, or a decision you made using it — including any wager or league entry fee.
Changes to these terms
The date at the top is the version. A change is posted here with a new date, and using the app after that is accepting it.
Contact
Email [email protected], or use the feedback box in Settings. For business, write to [email protected]. What the app keeps about you, and how to see or delete it, is on the privacy page.
